If He Had Been Here

Pt. 38
1. Suffering draws us to the past
2. Knowledge of God draws us to the present
3. Christ does not avoid us in our suffering, but meets us in it
Come honestly to Christ, and hide nothing. When things get hard, you default to your true theology-- be grounded on what you've stored up from His word, his goodness, promises, will, love for you, plans for you. Seek comfort from the only one who can truly provide it. Christ knows and feels the crown of the enemy-- death-- with us. We are not left alone in our broken sorrow of the past.
Where do you turn when your story feels stuck? Peace comes, not from getting answers or intellectual satisfaction, but from the person of Christ.
